A day of rest…

Today is a day of rest and worship. After a long day of travel, we enjoyed a good nights rest. Today we had breakfast and worshipped our Lord. We read 1 John and discussed the salvation we have through faith. Salvation doesn not come through the things that we do, but through the relationship to Jesus. Only by Faith can we HAVE Life.

Spend time in Gods word today for yourself. And HAVE life though Christ.

All are doing well. Love to all at home.

This weeks Twitter Updates – 2009-09-13

  • Team fasted for a day and broke fast together tonight. We are ready and excited to serve God. #

Our first Praise

We thank Jesus for a safe flight. Everyone has joined up and we are now eighteen. The last three will join us tomorrow. If this update is successful, then chances are good that we can continue to update the Blog from the mountains. Hannah and Rebekah met us with the bus. We are loaded and on the road by 1:15 PM local time.

We praise our Lord Jesus for the protection and provisions that He has granted so far. Hallelujah!

Special love goes out to our families and friends. Jay says Hi. Ed says we have about 20 minutes to go… ;)

The team is growing

We have met the four that left from Indianapolis. Soon to meet the last two in CR. Rebekah will meet the team with a van. Thank you Lord!

Final Preparations

Well, if you got the email from last night, then you maybe taking a peek at the Blog or Twitter. Either because you know what they are or it sounds like a new language. :) I want to apologize right now for the typing and grammar errors that will be forthcoming.  As we send updates from a phone in another country to an automated web site here in the USA…what could go wrong? The team will head for Chicago around midnight tonight for an early morning flight. We will connect with some of the team in ATL and a couple more in SJO. Keep us in your prayers!

River of God Blog!

We know that you want to know what is going on with the ministry and we feel that using this Blog will give us an opportunity to share more with you.  We also, would appreciate your prayers and comments to help us improve this site.  We know that each of us prefer different means of communication.  We enjoy sending the newsletters, but due to the cost, it never seems to be often enough.  Emails can help, but they feel like a one-way “broadcast” communication.  It is our hope that these new tools, such as Blogging and Twitter will increase our ability to share more frequently.

We are also very excited to launch this new feature with a mission team trip in September, which will give us a way to sahre progress and status from Costa Rica.  It is our hope that you will partner with us in prayer while the team is working.

In Christ Alone!
